Sick of Losing

plasma.jpgThe Bucs lost to the Redskins last weekend. I was the only guy in the bar wearing a Bucs jersey. I Lose.

The Lightning have lost 9 of their last 13 games, and their last two. Plus, they put their team captain on waivers—which he cleared. We Lose.

The Caps have lost 11 of their last 15 games, and haven’t won in any of the five games of 2006. Alex Ovechkin is awesome to watch, and he scores a ton. But despite that fact: We Lose.

Last weekend, we bought a 42” plasma HDTV. The cable connection I wired up for the main level of the townhouse? No digital channels are coming through the copper (as they do downstairs). I Lose. I’ll have to do more troubleshooting and possibly rewire some shit, crimp new F connectors, etc. this weekend… and it still might not work as planned. Possible Bonus Losing.

This shit is getting old.

  1. Sad. I love this bullshit GM speak: “The right thing to do is to pay David,” said GM Jay Feaster. The right thing to do would’ve been to celebrate the man’s career with some dignity; say, feign a fake injury, put him on IR and let him retire at the end of the season NOT say he couldn’t keep up with the game anymore. It’s the least they could’ve done for a guy that helped lead his team to the cup.

Your boys are in trouble, Gary. The Avs, on the other hand, are good. Marek Svatos is the balls.
