Safari Bug or Not?

After watching the Caps salvage a 6-1 deficit to lose 8-5 on television (fuckin’ Ovechkin must be some type of Chernobyl mutant), I hooked up the online-Bolts-game radio feed over the Internets (more info on that feed).

In Safari, streaming audio in a non-focused tab quits as soon as you take focus off that tab’s viewport, save what’s buffered. Yet, the same streaming audio in a non-focused, separate window continues to stream.

It’s obviously not a focus issue. Is this a by-design crippling or a true bug that I should lodge with Apple?
