So there was this guy I knew, Andy B. He died on June 30, 2004 due to complications (ultimate paralysis) associated with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a.k.a Lou Gehrig’s disease) [what is ALS?]. That totally blows, because Andy was such a great guy… I mean, a really great fuckin’ guy.
This October, I’m walking in the DC/MD/VA Chapter’s annual fundraising event in DC: The Walk to D’Feet ALS [info]. While I’ve already met my fundraising goal of $1,000 thanks to many of my generous friends and family, “Andy’s Gang” (our team) is still falling a bit short. That’s where you and your money might be able to help.
Make a tax-deductible contribution to the ALS Association. Sponsor me, sponsor Andy’s Gang, or make an anonymous contribution through their secure, online donation form. Whatever. You can give however much you want or can. Even though their tickboxes start at $25, they also offer that kickass “other amount” option if $25 is beyond your donation threshold. Remember, it’s tax-deductible, so any donation you grant will also help you financially.
If you have any questions, please feel free to Contact Me. Otherwise, thanks in advance for your contribution, and no harm… no foul… no animosity… no giving you shit if you can’t or don’t donate.
