  1. Unbelieveable.

As a friend, I am happy for you as I can imagine how exciting it must feel to root for such a good team and have them do so well, especially after suffering for so long with a crap team. Tampa has earned their spot in the Cup Finals and their fans should be proud. So, yay for Gary!

As a bitter Caps fan, I am just appalled. It just pisses me off to no end that Tampa has had everything go their way this year. From having next to no man-games lost to injury, to playing sub-par teams on their way through the playoffs, it just ain’t fair dammit! Islanders? Please. Montreal? Give me a break. By the time they got to Philly, Philly was so beat up that it would have been shocking if Tampa didn’t beat them. And they almost didn’t.

So, as a friend I am happy for you as an individual, and for your family by extension. But as a Caps fan I am just so unbelieveably annoyed. And I’ve only been a fan for 6 years. I can only imagine what long-time Caps fans are feeling, watching a 90’s expansion team be so successful while our own franchise is mediocre year after year and then implodes in a blaze of ignominy. Gah.

In closing: Go Flames Go! Hit that midget!!

    Catherine :-)

  2. Um, yeah. I’m still giddy. It’s a great feeling when a full lobby of theatre-goers errupt into cheers (more like screams) of joy at the final buzzer. Perfect timing for a play intermission.
